Local businessman is a cut above - C & G Newspapers WARREN/STERLING HEIGHTS — There are legends, and then there is Legends Salon. Kevin Manny, owner of the salon/barber shop located at 32772 Ryan Road in Warren, recently gave back to the community in the way of go-karting, zip-lining and more.

As another incredible school year comes to a close, I want to thank our students, staff, and families for making my first year at Grissom so special. Your hard work, support, and commitment to our school community made this a year to remember.

Such a special day today.

Today was a special day for our Grizzlies.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Grissom alumnus and Legends Salon owner Kevin Manny, our 8th grade students were able to celebrate their Farewell at CJ Barrymore’s and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Kevin never forgot where he came from. When he learned he was speaking with the principal of his former middle school, he immediately began talking about his memories of Grissom and his desire to give back to the next generation of students. Throughout the year, those conversations turned into action, and today our students were the beneficiaries of his kindness.

At Grissom, we believe community matters. Today was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people invest in the place that helped shape them.

On behalf of our students, staff, and families, thank you, Kevin, for your generosity, your support, and your commitment to giving back. The smiles on our students’ faces today said it all.
