This page is used as a communication tool to highlight the great things our students and staff accomplish and to give on upcoming events.

Because of the construction, our 6th-grade students were unable to access their lockers during registration. We know that finding a locker, figuring out the combination, and getting everything set up can help make that first day of middle school a little easier.

To give students that opportunity, Grissom will be open Tuesday, September 1, from 3:00–5:00 PM for 6th graders and students who are new to Grissom.

Families are welcome to stop by anytime during that window so students can find their locker, practice opening it, and get it set up for the school year.

This is completely optional, and there is no need to stay for the entire two hours. This opportunity is specifically for our 6th graders and new students who were unable to get familiar with their lockers during registration.

We look forward to seeing those who can make it and helping our newest Grizzlies feel ready for the first day!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for registration today! It was great seeing our students and families back in the building and getting ready for another school year.

Registration continues tomorrow!

📚 6th Grade: 8:15–11:15 AM
📚 7th Grade: 12:15–3:15 PM

A quick reminder — please complete all of your paperwork online before coming. It will save you time and help you move through the registration stations much quicker.

And while you’re here, make sure you stop by the M Shack food truck! They’ll be here with drinks, snacks and other treats. 🌭🥤🍿

Pretty cool day for Grissom! 🎶

Two of our flute players, Zeinab Sobh and Jacob Hang, joined Mrs. Haffner today in Clarkston to help break a Guinness World Record!

They were part of a group of 299 piccolo players from across the U.S. and Canada who performed John Philip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Even cooler — Zeinab and Jacob were the youngest performers there and had no problem keeping up with the group!

What a great experience for these two and something they’ll be able to say they were a part of forever.

Way to represent Grissom, Zeinab, Jacob, and Mrs. Haffner! 💚🐻
