The School’s Vision

The purpose of Christian schooling is to work with the Christian family and church while presenting our covenant children a unified, distinctively Christian view of the world and their unique place in it as God’s people. Because Jesus Christ is sovereign Lord over all, He and His Word must be central and govern every area of life, especially our children’s schooling where they

form their understanding of the world. Our goal is to help every student grow into a responsible citizen of our world, nation, state, and community; and a responsible citizen of Jesus Christ’s kingdom, willing and able to serve God and community. Whereas the state has a secondary role in supporting and assisting parents in the provision and setting of standards for schooling, it is the parents to whom God has given the primary responsibility for their children’s education and training. Parents have the responsibility and privilege of choosing schooling that is consistent with their Christian convictions. The essential relationship for effective education is a bond of trust between home and school, with the support of Christ’s church. Stephenville Christian School is committed to integrating biblical faith and learning, and to offering children a challenging education in a caring Christian atmosphere. Our Governing Principles
Jesus Christ is the sovereign Lord over everything in creation and culture. The Bible has relevant norms and rules for every situation. The School is to maintain an all-encompassing Christian perspective. Formal education is the organized process of encouraging and training students in the development of Christian moral and social values, and in academic knowledge. Teachers are professional educators as well as exemplary Christians who communicate and model Christian life and learning in the classroom and in the community. Stephenville Christian School is an interfaith organization and has no denominational affiliations. It is owned and operated by a self-perpetuating School Board, which is drawn from the Parent Association. maintains a membership with Christian Schools International (CSI), the oldest organization of Christian Schools in North America.

Maverick was ready bright and early to welcome our students back to SCA for the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Seeing those smiling faces coming through the doors was awesome!

We started our morning the very best way together in Chapel, praising God, praying, and setting our hearts on Him as we begin this new school year.

There were lots of smiles and excitement as our students settled into their classrooms.

We rolled our treat cart around to spoil our teachers and staff to remind them just how loved and appreciated they are.

We are excited to see all that God has in store for SCA this year!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT AT STEPHENVILLE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY!

Our hearts are so full after an amazing Meet the Teacher Night! Seeing our school filled with students, parents, teachers, laughter, hugs, and excitement for a brand-new school year was such a blessing.

One of the most meaningful parts of our evening was gathering together for a special Commissioning Service led by Pastor Draayer. We prayed over and commissioned our students, parents, teachers, staff, and school as we begin this new year. What a beautiful reminder that SCA is so much more than a school it is a ministry, and everything we do is for the glory of God.

We are incredibly thankful for our amazing teachers and staff. The love, time, prayer, and hard work they have poured into preparing their classrooms and getting ready to welcome our students does not go unnoticed. We are so blessed by each one of them and the way they love and serve our SCA kids.

We are also so grateful for Pastor Draayer and everything he does for our school. His love, prayers, encouragement, and continued support mean more to us than words can say. Thank you, Pastor, for helping us begin this school year by reminding us exactly where our foundation belongs in Jesus Christ.

And, of course, Maverick 🦅made his grand appearance! Some of our students lit up and couldn’t get to him fast enough… while a few others decided Maverick was MUCH better admired from a safe distance. Either way, Maverick 🦅definitely made Meet the Teacher a night to remember!

Most of all, thank you to all of our SCA families for coming and sharing this special evening with us. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for choosing Christian education. It is a privilege we never take lightly.

As we begin another school year, we are excited to see what God has planned. May our classrooms be filled with learning, our hallways with joy, our relationships with grace, and above all, may Jesus Christ remain at the center of everything we do.

The 2026-2027 school year is officially underway!

Yesterday was our first teacher workday, and what a wonderful day it was! We laughed, learned, planned, prayed, and spent time together preparing for an incredible year ahead.

I am beyond thankful for this amazing team of teachers and staff. Each one has a heart for Jesus and a passion for loving and teaching our students. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are excited and ready for all God has in store!

Please keep our teachers, students, and families in your prayers as we prepare to welcome everyone back next week. We can’t wait to see what the Lord is going to do at Stephenville Christian Academy this year!

Hi, parents! Just a reminder that today at 5:00 PM is the deadline to order your student’s mandatory red embroidered polo. The ordering link will close at 5:00 PM, so please make sure to place your order before then.

Please also take a moment to double-check that you are ordering the correct size, as these polos will be embroidered after the ordering window closes.

A quick reminder of our dress code:

* Monday: Mandatory red embroidered polo
* Tuesday & Wednesday: Any SCA school shirt is required

Our embroidered red polo shirts are required for all students on Mondays for chapel.

If you have not ordered your student’s red polo yet, please place your order ASAP!

All red polos will be embroidered at the same time after the ordering link closes. Embroidery will not begin until the ordering window has closed, so we want to be sure everyone who needs one gets their order in before the deadline.

We are so excited to welcome all of our Stephenville Christian Academy families back for an incredible new school year!

We can’t wait to open our doors, introduce you to our amazing teachers, and help you get settled into your classrooms. It’s always one of our favorite evenings of the year!
