Amber Hayes is a Junior Communication Studies student with an emphasis in Public Relations and Event Management. She has accepted an internship position with the Disney college program in merchandising.

SEPA - Tarleton had the opportunity to volunteer for a fundraising event this week for Open Arms International US in Granbury which included a silent auction and activities to learn more about Kenya and the organization's mission.

The organization has medical camps that are located in Kenya which provide services like blood pressure checks, abscessed tooth extractions, assessing common skin conditions and stomach ailments, and dispensing needed medications. They can treat as many as 1,000 patients a day! Along with services, the camps pass out tooth brushes and vitamins.

We're glad we got the experience to get involved with such an awesome event!
