Sherando Band Boosters

10/11/2026

It may look like a rainy day tomorrow, but that doesn’t mean the fall fun has to stop! Come spend the afternoon with the Sherando Band at our 19th annual Safe Halloween event!

Join us for a fantastic afternoon of family-friendly fun, treats, festivities, and a warm bowl of chili! Plus, we have a special new attraction for this year: our incredible Jazz Ensemble will be performing live twice throughout the afternoon, so you can enjoy some great music while you trick-or-treat!

Grab your costumes, bring the family, and come support the band. We can’t wait to see you there!

A massive thank you to JC Mobile Mechanic LLC for being our Game 3 Tailgate Sponsor last Friday night. We really appreciate their continued support of the Sherando Band. This sponsorship allowed us to not only feed our band students, but also more than 60 eighth graders from our local middle schools. 🔴⚫️

While the band was bummed to not be able to perform in Arrowhead Stadium due to the weather, we quickly pivoted, moved into the gym, and gave our visiting middle schoolers a private performance of their very own. ❤️🖤

The Marching Warriors opened their 2026 competition season Saturday at the VMBC Herndon Showcase of Bands, and this group showed just how adaptable they can be.

While they were already en route to Herndon, weather conditions forced a change to the evening schedule. The Class 6 portion of the competition was moved indoors, creating an entirely different performance environment than what our students had prepared for. With very little time to adjust, they walked into the new venue, made the necessary changes, and got to work.

The performance they put out on the floor was incredible and they earned their highest season debut score (in at least the last 10 years that we have record of) in Sherando Band history with an 87.500!

The setting may have changed, but the standard did not. Best run of the season! Congratulations, Marching Warriors!
