Our indoor and outdoor learning environments are safe, clean, stimulating, and well-organized. We use state approved curriculum frameworks for all ages. We follow age appropriate schedules and routines that are structured, yet flexible enough to meet the needs of each and every child. We provide rich learning experiences and activities that stimulate children to grow and develop competency in all

domains: social-emotional, cognitive, language/linguistic, and physical. Children are actively involved in the learning process and recognize them as capable, competent learners, collaborators and problem solvers. Our staff supports each child’s individuality and facilitates their development. We believe that learning and development is stimulated through the use of developmentally appropriate practices for young children (http://www.naeyc.org/DAP). We believe that children explore and learn about their world best through active learning and active play. Cardinal Care is designed to scaffold children’s play and exploration, encouraging their curiosity, exploration, invention and discovery. Our staff support children as they learn daily routines, expand their interests, master new developmental skills, and learn to work together as a community of learners. Cardinal Care respects parent(s)/legal guardian(s) as children’s first and most important teachers. Open communication between family and staff is encouraged and parental involvement in the program is welcomed. We value and meet the needs of each child as both an individual and an integral member of our learning community.
