REGISTRATION
Registration for Steeleville Elementary School and Steeleville High School will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All new families must provide proof of residency at the time of registration. Proof of residency may include: Current monthly utility statement (electric, gas, cable, water); closing papers on a recent purchase of residence; current Illinois Public Aid Medical Card. The following are NOT VALID for proof of residency: Water turn-on receipt; Illinois driver’s license; voter registration card; FOID card; rent receipts; automobile registration; telephone bill. New students must also provide a copy of their registered birth certificate at the time of registration.
Online Registration for returning students will begin August 3, 2026. Students not able to register on Thursday, August 6th can register from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. after August 6th.

All students entering kindergarten (or first grade) if they have not attended kindergarten, the sixth grade, ninth grade, and transfer students must have the necessary physicals and immunizations by September 1 of each school year. Students not conforming to this regulation will be excluded from school until the necessary requirements are completed. Dental exams are now required for Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 6th grade, and 9th grade. Vision exams are required for Kindergarten students. Students who participate in sports must have a physical examination on file before they begin practice. All forms are available in the school offices.
Teachers’ Workshop is scheduled for Thursday, August 13th and Friday, August 14th. School will begin Monday, August 17, 2026, and will dismiss at 3:05 p.m. at the Grade School and 3:15 p.m. at the High School. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

There will be a Cross Country meeting on August 6th at 5:00 p.m. for parents of any 4th - 8th grade student who would like to run Cross Country. The meeting will be held in the HIGH SCHOOL Cafeteria.
