NDSU Extension - Kidder County Creating learning partnerships that help adults and youth enhance their lives and communities. Our efforts are funded by county, state and federal government.

We extend education to North Dakota residents of all ages and walks of life. You’ll find us at work in your county, at Research Extension Centers and at the main campus of North Dakota State University. As North Dakotans work to improve their lives, we’re there to help. Our efforts have a special emphasis on strengthening agriculture and developing the potential of youth, adults and communities. W

We've got BIG news!! Legos are back!

LEGO League looks a little different this year, but it's still all the same fun and learning. We will, of course, have LEGOS but we will also do some other fun STEM activities. Also, stay tuned for more opportunities for older kids.

As drought intensifies, many farmers are deciding to harvest drought-stressed crops for livestock forage. In some areas of the state, farmers have already harvested small grains as hay.
While these crops can be a valuable resource for livestock producers short of forage, North Dakota State University Extension specialists warn that there is an increased risk of nitrate poisoning with many drought-stressed forages.
Free nitrate testing is available through the Extension office.
