Summer is just around the corner, and the McCreary County School District is excited to once again provide our Summer Meal Distribution Program! We’re also pleased to announce the addition of a new pickup location this year!
McCreary County Middle School and Pine Knot Intermediate School will both serve as distribution sites. Please see the flyer for dates and times.
This program is available for all children in our community! Our goal is to serve 1,000 children at each site on every distribution day. Thank you for supporting this program and helping us meet an important need in our community.

Can I pick up meals for children other than my own? What do I need?
Yes. You must provide written documentation giving you permission to pick up meals for the child(ren). Documentation will be kept on file for the entire 2026 Summer Distribution Program. You will also need the child’s name and date of birth.
Does my child have to be enrolled in the school district?
No. This program is open to ANY child ages 1–18.
How will the pickup lines work?
Pickup lines will operate similarly to parent drop-off at both locations. Lines will open at 12:00 noon. Food will be distributed to those in line by 2:00 p.m. or while supplies last.
Can I pick up meals at both sites on the same day?
No. The additional location was added to better serve our community and help reduce wait times. Names will be entered into a database to prevent duplicate meal pickups. If possible, we ask that you pick up from the same location each week.
