Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we would love your help in showing our love to our Sleeping Giant staff. We are planning something special for each day of the week, and there are just a few things that could make it wonderful with a bit of help from the parents and students.
-Monday
The principals will be hosting a staff breakfast. We will also be delivering vases with flowers to all the staff in the afternoon.
-Tuesday
We would like to invite the students to bring in flowers and thank-you notes for their favorite staff/teachers. The vases we give the staff on Monday can also be used for the flowers brought in by the students. Remember to include specials teachers, cafeteria workers, IT gurus, front desk gals, and the cleaning crew in your thoughts. We will also be sending home a paw print this week, where the students can write something nice and bring it back to school to hang on their classroom door.
-Wednesday
We are hosting a Lunch Bar for the staff, so we would really appreciate donations of food and other necessities. Please sign up through this link:

-Thursday
We would love to see the students wear something that reminds them of their teachers. For example, a favorite athletic team or a favorite color.
Our PTIC has set up an easy way to show your love and appreciation to SGS teachers and staff through GiftCrowd. GiftCrowd allows you to contribute money to any of our staff members and as always, this is a completely optional way to say thank you to a staff member for Teacher Appreciation and/or the End of Year Gifts. If anyone wants to chalk the sidewalks during recess or after school, any day of the week, please do! The staff loves seeing your colorful art as they walk into the building. There will be chalk available at the front desk during school hours to use or bring your own after school.
