2024 SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
All student athletes must complete the following:
Complete the online registration at: https://sailorsathletics-ar.rschooltoday.com/ PLEASE READ ALL OF THE STEPS ON THE HOME PAGE.
Sports Physical. Please scan and email a current physical form signed by the doctor to: [email protected] or upload it at: https://sailorsathletics-ar.rschooltoday.com/
Pay the athletic participation fee ($200.00 per sport). The fee can be paid by cash or check in the Athletic Office, or with a credit card through the Athletic Registration page. ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION FEES CANNOT BE ADDED TO STUDENT ACCOUNTS on Infinite Campus.
Please complete in this order. If one item is not taken care of the student athlete will not be on the roster.
Each Coach will get a roster on the first day of their sport stating who has taken care of all the steps. If the student athlete is not on the coaches roster they will not be permitted to practice until all steps are taken care of.
Coaches will be getting email updates regarding athlete's participation status.
Please note that the Spring Sports Registration will be CLOSED the week of Mid Winter Break (February 17-25, 2024). Athletes can still pay for their registration and upload their physicals. The system will be closed for any new registrations that may potentially come in over break. The Athletic Office is closed during this week and there is no one to process registrations. It will be re-opened on Monday, February 26 (first day of spring sports).

Congratulations to the Steamboat Sailors Boys Soccer Team! It was a tough game tonight and both the Sailors and the Tigers fought to the very end! The Sailors will advance to the 2nd Round State Playoff game next Wednesday, which will be played at Gardner Field.

Interested in playing Girls Basketball this season? Below is important information from the Girls Basketball Coach, Shawn Baumgartner:

The official start of basketball season is just 3 weeks away. I want to let everyone know what we have coming up for the pre-season and the start of the season in November.

Registration - message from the high school office
Winter Sports Registration is now live at: https://sailorsathletics-ar.rschooltoday.com/
Participation fee ($200.00) can be paid with a credit card when registering for a sport. If the parent chooses to pay with a check or credit card they may do so in the office at the high school. We can no longer charge student accounts for participation fees.

All student athletes must have a current sports physical on file.

There are several student athletes that have outstanding sports fees (hotels, spirit gear, summer camp). If a student athlete has an outstanding balance, they will not be cleared until they pay the balance or set up a payment plan.

For those who need a current Impact Test, our training Stephanie Stefanelli, will be doing a girls basketball team Impact Test on
Nov. 8th at 3:35. If you are unsure if you need a new Impact Test, Steph will be getting us a list.


Pre-season Conditioning & Fundamentals Camp
Our goal during the pre-season camp is to get everyone back together and in the gym. Our main focus will be conditioning and basic fundamentals - ball handling, passing, shooting, defensive stance, transition defense, ect... We will also be in the weight room for some team workouts.

These sessions are optional, but highly encouraged.

NOV 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th, 3:35 - 5:45

Parent Meeting
We will have our parent meeting on Nov 7 at 5:45pm in the SSHS Media Center. We will cover team expectations, practice and game schedules, parent volunteer opportunities, ect...

Travel Gear
We will be getting new travel gear for this year (by the girls' request). The cost will be $83 for Under Armour jogger sweats and zip hoodie. We will have order forms available at the parent meeting. Students' accounts will be charged for the cost. Hopefully this is gear we can keep for multiple years so returning players next won't have to purchase travel gear again.

Thanksgiving Week
We will be practicing over the Thanksgiving Break. We will not have practice on Thanksgiving Day. I know families may already have plans or traditions they do over Thanksgiving. It's important to have as many as we can at practice over the break. The Varsity goes to the Roaring Fork Tournament the week we get back from Thanksgiving.

Tentative plan - Mon, Tues, Wed (am), Fri (evening), Sat

We are looking for a scrimmage, which could possibly be during the Thanksgiving break.
