Thank you to everyone that attended the 80s Reunion!!! For some of us it had been many years. Too many! We had almost 40 SRHS alumni and former classmates attend. (The Class of 1986 had the most present with 5 out of 8.) Arlene Montgomery was the only staff member in attendance and it was wonderful to see her and reconnect!

Thank you to the individual that rented the party room for the evening.

Thanks to Happenings for providing the perfect venue, for being so accommodating and making the process effortless. Thank you to Riko’s Tacos for food and Sorry For Last Night for the music.

It was a great night!!

Remember graduation day? The excitement. The jitters. The accomplishment. The anticipation of life's next step. The plans and goals each of us set. Oh, how life changes and is full of ups, downs, twist and turns.

One of my favorite quotes about life is from the movie Parenthood, where Grandma explains it perfectly:

You know, when I was nineteen, Grandpa took me on a roller coaster. Up, down, up, down. Oh, what a ride! I always wanted to go again. You know, it was just so interesting to me that a ride could make me so frightened, so scared, so sick, so excited, and so thrilled all together! Some didn't like it. They went on the merry-go-round. That just goes around. Nothing. I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it.
