The Regis Trap Team completed its inaugural season with a group of mostly new shooters who showed steady growth and commitment each week. Team members include Calista Anglin, Cassidy Anglin, Elizabeth Fessler, Grant Dolby, Ethan Emch, Elijah Payne, Emmett Wagenaar, Ryan Kirsch, and Thomas Risen. Coaches were Kyle Fessler, Tom Fessler, and Safety Officer Mr. Risen.
Our athletes honed their firearm safety skills and refined their shooting technique throughout the 5-week conference schedule, with many showing great improvement over the course of the season.
A few notable accomplishments: Emmett Wagenaar finished the season with an average score of 19.2/25, finishing 25th of 81 athletes in conference. Elizabeth Fessler was the conference champion for the female division, with an average score of 21.2/25, which also qualified her for the National Championships in July.
Five of our athletes will be participating in the State Tournament in Bend at the end of June. We wish Calista Anglin, Cassidy Anglin, Elizabeth Fessler, Grant Dolby, and Emmett Wagenaar good luck in their final shoot of the season.
