Regis St. Mary Catholic School Regis St. Mary Catholic School is a PreK-12 school system in Stayton, Oregon. St. Mary, our PreK-8 ca Lawrence Saalfeld. Francis Campbell and Archbishop Edward D.

As the only rural Catholic secondary school in Oregon, Regis High School has been offering a quality Catholic education in the North Santiam and Mid-Willamette valley for 50 years. In 1957 a group of laymen known as the Catholic Educational Corporation purchased two parcels of property in Stayton, a total of 31 acres. This was the initial step toward the establishment of
Regis High School. In 1960 a professional fundraising firm was engaged to conduct a survey of the area to determine the feasibility of operating a regional Catholic high school. The project was endorsed by the vicariate parishes of Immaculate Conception in Stayton, St. Boniface in Sublimity and Our Lady of Lourdes in Jordan and their mission parishes. Work in earnest began in 1962 to initiate a campaign and finalize plans of construction and operation under the project administrator Rev. Regis opened its doors in the fall of 1963, with attendance by students
of all four grades, freshmen through seniors. On October 27, 1963
Regis High School celebrated the Blessing and Dedication led by
Principal Rev. Howard D.D. In large measure, the sustained success of Regis is due to the tremendous

There’s something special about organized team sports at recess! Our students are living out our school mission: to develop disciples of Christ who love, learn, lead, and serve… on the playground!

They are learning to love their teammates, learning new skills, leading by example, and serving others through encouragement, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. These are the everyday moments when character is formed and our mission comes to life!

Congratulations to our Regis High School Rotary Student of the Month, William Miotke!

William was recently honored by the Stayton Area Rotary Club for his outstanding achievements, leadership, service, and commitment to his education.

A Regis student for nearly 13 years, William has been involved in cross country and track, Regis Theater, student media, student leadership, and our evangelization team. He also shares his musical talents as a drummer and is learning to play bass. In the classroom, William has challenged himself academically by excelling in his advanced coursework.

Reflecting on his time at Regis, William shared:

“Throughout my entire journey at Regis, there have been numerous chances for me to grow in every way possible, and I am grateful for such a great school that allowed me to improve my education while also focusing firmly on faith.”

Congratulations, William! We are excited to see all that you accomplish in the future!
