🌟Introducing Our New Pre‑K/Kindergarten Co‑Teacher: Ms. Lacey🌟

Anna’s House School is pleased to welcome Ms. Lacey to our early childhood team as the new Pre‑K/Kindergarten Co‑Teacher. Lacey brings a strong foundation in early childhood education, with experience as a babysitter, camp counselor, dance instructor, and preschool assistant. She recently earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and is eager to support our youngest learners through hands‑on exploration, nurturing guidance, and developmentally rich instruction.

In addition to her professional background, Lacey is a mother of two and enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with her family. Her enthusiasm for teaching and her commitment to helping children grow make her a wonderful addition to our Pre‑K/Kindergarten classroom.

🌟 Meet Carolyn - Our Upper Elementary Teacher! 🌟

Carolyn is a lifelong learner and ten‑year classroom veteran who specializes in highly individualized education. She’s passionate about helping students find their strengths, think deeply, and create with confidence.

Her path to Anna’s House has been wonderfully unique. Carolyn grew up in a bilingual Foreign Service family. She spent her childhood in East and West Germany and the Washington, D.C., area, switching schools seven times from kindergarten through 12th grade. As an adult, her love of exploring continued, taking her to the rural Midwest, Moscow, Russia, and many places in between before settling in culture‑rich Staunton.

She holds a BA in English (creative writing) and an MSW with a clinical concentration from the University of Iowa. When she’s not teaching, she’s usually writing, drawing, or working on her historic home. Carolyn also proudly serves as butler to her husky, Puck, and three very opinionated cats: Stephen, Matilda, and Ron Weasley. Her bucket‑list dream is to go storm chasing (with an experienced meteorologist, of course).

We’re thrilled to have Carolyn at Anna’s House. Her curiosity, creativity, and rich life experiences make her an incredible guide for our students.

🌟 Meet Our New 1st/2nd Grade Teacher: Ms. Danielle Price! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Ms. Danielle Price to Anna’s House as our new 1st/2nd grade teacher. Danielle graduated from Bridgewater College in 2011 with a B.A. in Music Education and has spent her career working with students from PreK through eighth grade. Her wide range of experience gives her a strong understanding of child development and how to support learners at every stage.

Danielle has served in classroom and support roles, including teacher’s aide, instructional aide, student teacher, and music educator. Most recently, she worked at Shelburne Middle School, providing individualized instruction, classroom support, and academic interventions. She loves helping students discover their strengths and seeing those “lightbulb moments” when new concepts click.

She also brings leadership and management experience that has strengthened her communication, organization, and teamwork; all qualities that make her a patient, adaptable, and dependable educator.

Ms. Price lives in Staunton with her husband, Chris, their daughter, Madeline, and their dog, Sassy. She’s excited to bring her passion for education, creativity, and relationship‑building to our school community.
