Mrs. Werner's class had a Sea Creature Scavenger Hunt for students to learn about different places in our building. They got to meet Marsha, the school secretary; Mrs. Page, the nurse; and Dr. McGinthy, our principal. We found all the sea creatures!

Summer break is almost over and it’s time to get back into the school routine. The construction at Staunton Schools has impacted calendar matching for our three school districts. Below is a combined calendar for the school year. Students will follow the calendar of the school that they are served at. They will register at their home district. We’re excited to see their smiling faces!

The following students are being recognized as winners for the reading incentive program generously sponsored by the local Masonic Lodge. Students earned entries into a drawing for finishing a book. These students were drawn as winners and will receive a new bicycle as a reward for their participation. We are proud of their commitment to reading and grateful to the Masonic Lodge for supporting our students.

Mrs. Gieson, Mrs. Biggs, and Mrs. Bethard's classes visited Henson Robinson Zoo in Springfield yesterday. We had a great time!
