Our parade team is made of a talented and dedicated group of hardcore individuals who train for weeks to perform in Staunton's Happy Birthday, America parade!

Come see them kick, punch, strike, and sweat their way through Gypsy Hill Park Saturday morning. Your cheers are their fuel!

Meet our amazing student Amelia!

Amelia first came to AFK at age 8 to celebrate a friend’s birthday - and she’s never left! She’s worked hard through each class and every belt. She made a goal and stuck to it. Amelia earned her Black Belt in April 2026.

She is well known around the school and you can find her helping out in classes as one of our most dedicated S.T.O.R.M. members, or training in our Black Belt Class.

Amelia’s favorite thing about AFK is learning katas and escrima sticks.

In the future, she’d like to go to competition with escrima sticks.

Her advice to new students? "You might be nervous the first day, but the second time you take class it gets even more fun - it’s breaking the ice."

Amelia and her family are incredible and we love having them as part of our AFK family. Thank you for all you do!

🎉We're back in Staunton's Parade on July 4th! 🎊

Come to the park and watch our amazing demo team perform, kicking and punching their way around the parade route!

Our students and families will be passing out information on FREE classes - so make sure you grab one and join us in the dojo this summer!
