Wise Guys is making an impact in adolescent males across NC. Wise Guys is a fun and interactive program that teaches teen boys about being responsible.
Wise Guys is a program that is currently offered in 13 counties across North Carolina. Our program works with teen boys in local high schools to instill the importance of making wise decisions. Our program focusses on teaching responsibility, s*xual responsibility, family communication, and developing positive life options. Wise Guys is a fun and interactive program yet very informative. Approximately 300 ninth, 10th and 11th grade males will be recruited each semester for five semesters from high schools in Iredell-Statesville Schools to participate in the evaluation.
We provide a series of 8 to 12 classes for adolescent males which focus on:
- Responsibly
- Sexual Responsibility
- Family Communication
- Developing Positive Life Options.
Trainings are available for professionals and educators who would like to start the Wise Guys program in their own community. Communities from coast to coast have implemented the program with diverse groups of males in a variety of settings.
