Recently our second graders had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on learning experience through the 4-H Embryology Program! π£π₯
Each classroom received eggs to care for and observe, giving them a front-row seat to the life cycle of a chick. Over the course of 21 days, they learned about growth, development, and responsibility while eagerly anticipating hatch day.
This meaningful experience brought science to life in the most memorable way. We are proud of our students for their curiosity, patience, and care throughout this journey!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Read Across America Week here at Scotts! Throughout the week, our school was filled with excitement as students participated in fun dress-up days that helped bring the joy of reading to life. From creative costumes to themed outfits, our Panthers truly embraced the spirit of the week and had so much fun showing off their creativity.
One of the highlights of the week was welcoming many special guest readers into our classrooms. Students loved the surprise of seeing who would be visiting to share a story with them, and the excitement was contagious as each guest helped bring books and characters to life. These special moments reminded our students that reading is something that can be enjoyed and celebrated by everyone in our community.
Events like this not only make reading fun, but they also help strengthen our love of books and storytelling. It was a joy to see our students so engaged and enthusiastic, and we are incredibly thankful to all of the guests who took the time to come and read with our Panthers. It truly was a fantastic week celebrating the power and joy of reading together!
Our 5th graders also had the special privilege in participating in team building activities with West Iredell High School's JROTC program.
