Mustang families, it's time to start preparing for Fall Athletics at WIMS!

Please review the attached flyers for important information regarding:

🏈 Football Conditioning (Rising 7th & 8th Grade Only)

🏐 Volleyball Tryouts (Rising 6th - 8th Grade)

🏃 Cross Country Conditioning (Rising 6th - 8th Grade)

📣 Cheer Additional Tryouts (Rising 6th - 8th Grade) - for students who missed the spring tryout session

✅ ALL student-athletes must complete athletic registration through DragonFly and have a current physical on file before participating.

🎓 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to try out for a fall sport, students must:

✅ Have passed all but one class during the Spring 2026 semester

✅ Have been in attendance at least 85% of school days during the Spring 2026 semester

✅ Meet all Iredell-Statesville Schools and WIMS athletic eligibility requirements

We encourage families to complete all paperwork as soon as possible to ensure a smooth start to the season.

Additional sport-specific communication information will be shared by coaches after teams are selected.

We are excited for another great year of WIMS Athletics and look forward to seeing our Mustangs compete this fall!

School may be out for the summer on Friday, but nutritious meals are still on the menu! Iredell-Statesville Schools is offering FREE Summer Meals for children ages 1-18, with convenient pickup locations across our county.

Pickup Dates & Times:
June 1st through July 27th
Mondays and Thursdays only
12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

School’s out for summer! As a reminder, Friday, May 22, 2026, will be an early release day for all I-SS students as we celebrate the last day of school. Please make note of dismissal times and plan accordingly. Thank you for a great school year, and we wish all of our students, staff, and families a safe and fun summer break.

We still have 103 books checked out from our Media Center! Please help students look around for any books to return.
(Even books for other ISS schools can be returned to us and we will courier them back to those schools.)
