Below is the schedule for this week. Please read through it carefully. After school rehearsals are mandatory for students wishing to participate in the game this Friday.

Additionally, parents: please see the Band app for sign ups for this weeks concessions help. It is important that all parents are involved in volunteering.

Monday - Finish pass off's in class, outside if time
Tuesday - Outside during class, outside after school
Wednesday - Outside during class
Thursday - Inside during class, outside after school
Friday - Inside during class

All students must report to the band room no later than 5:30pm on Friday for the game. Students staying after school MUST be in the band room. A decision regarding the uniform this Friday will be made as we near the end of the week - it is my intent to make the decision for the best of the students with the continued heat wave.

This week's schedule is below.

Parents, we need your help. We have a home football game this Friday, 9/4, that just happens to be Homecoming 2026, Senior Night 2026, and the Band of Warriors Alumni Night 2026. We need as many parents as possible in the concession stand. This is one of our largest fundraisers; parents are strongly encouraged to help.

Mon. - Outside during class
Tues. - Inside during class, outside after school
Wed. - Outside during class
Thurs. - Inside during class, outside after school
Fri. - Home football game; all students must report to the band room no later than 5:30pm.

Our uniform for this Friday game will be the same as last week: gray season shirt, long blue jeans, and tennis shoes. Students should plan to bring money for concessions.

Parents:

We are actively monitoring the weather situation. Updates will be provided as quickly and as early as possible.

The most recent update received is that the game at NIHS this evening is still happening. Students need to be at WIHS no later than 5:00pm.

It is recommended to bring a rain jacket/cover up in case we are caught in the rain. We will work to keep all students safe and dry as the evening unfolds.

See the graphic below for details about your students' checklist for the away game at NIHS this Friday, Aug. 28th, 2026.

Students should wear their 2026 season shirt (gray), long blue jeans (no holes), and tennis shoes.

Students should arrive to WIHS no later than 5:00pm. Students wishing to stay after school may do so in the band room.

Dinner will not be provided this week. Students should plan to pack a dinner, or eat before coming to the high school. Additionally, students should consider bringing money for the concession stand at NIHS. We will be at the game for many hours, and they will be able to get food/drink during 3rd quarter.

Finally, at this time, several families have not paid their deposit nor submitted their forms. Without these, your student will not be allowed to participate or travel with us this Friday. Ensure that you have submitted all necessary materials. Please reach out to Mr. Fox if you are unsure.

It is that time of year already! WIHS Homecoming is slated for Sept. 4th, 2026. The Band of Warriors is hosting our Alumni Night the same evening. See the graphic below for more details.

Alumni should plan to be at the band room by 5:30pm on 9/4. Music will be sent out in advance. Please complete the registration link below to receive updates/music/other communications.

Below are a few reminders for this week, and our schedule.

Everyone’s first deposit was due Friday, Aug. 14th. At this point, it is overdue. Students failing to meet the first deposit will not be permitted to travel to NIHS for this week’s away game without it. Additionally, all students intending to travel must have submitted their forms, which includes a travel permission form. This must be signed and submitted for your student to get on the bus.

The first JV game is Thursday, Aug. 27th. We need a few student volunteers to work the concession stand. Students planning to work can stay in the band room after rehearsal Thursday until it is time to go to the concession stand.

Schedule for Week:
Mon. (8/17) - outdoor rehearsal during class
Tues. (8/18) - outdoor during class; indoor after school
Wed. (8/19) - outdoor during class
Thurs. (8/20) - outdoor during class; indoor after school; JV Football game (student volunteers for concessions)
Fri. (8/21) - outdoor during class; call time for ALL students for the game is 5:00pm. Arriving after 5:00 is late, and will be reflected in participation grade.

Below are a few reminders for this week, and our schedule.

Our weekly after school rehearsals start Tuesday, Aug. 18th. We rehearse from 3:30-5:30. All students are expected to be in attendance. Failure to do so will impact participation grade.

Parents:

We are actively working through our photos. We have gotten about halfway through our students to be photographed. As mentioned, we will not be here until 6:00 pm. I would recommend being here shortly after the dismissal bell (3:20). We should be able to finish up by 4:00 pm.
