Statesville Christian School Statesville Christian School is an accredited, non-denominational K-12 school founded in 1994 in Statesville, NC.

At Statesville Christian, it is more than just having routine chapel, providing a safe environment, or even having Christian teachers. A Christian education means seeing all of life- truth, meaning, morality, art, academics, athletics, relationships, history, language, justice, ethics, culture, communication, creation, politics- as being subject to sovereignty of God and truth of His word. Such an

education requires “biblical integration” in academic instruction and transparency and honesty in the members of our educational community. Although we are far from being a perfect school community, we continue to seek and set high expectations together.

This past week, our 4th graders learned all about bar graphs! They surveyed their classmates about their favorite sports, school subjects, and ice cream flavors, then used the results to create their own bar graphs.

It was a fun, hands-on way to practice collecting and organizing data while seeing how math connects to everyday life!

We’ve been seeing creativity come to life in our arts classes!

Our elementary students are studying Piet Mondrian and exploring lines, shapes, and color.

Middle school students are looking at the work of Paul Cézanne as they create their own still life pieces.

Upper school art students are working on a “Two Worlds” piece, exploring the contrast and connection between two different perspectives.

And Theater is busy rehearsing for The Little Mermaid!

Whether they’re creating on a canvas or preparing for the stage, our students are learning to use their gifts, think creatively, and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation.

We’re excited to introduce the SCS Homecoming Silent Auction this year! 🎉

We’re looking for donations of items, services, and experiences to help make this event a success. All proceeds will go toward renovating our boys’ and girls’ locker rooms—creating spaces our students can be proud of.

Have a business, special talent, vacation home, service, or something unique that others would enjoy? We’d love to hear from you!

Mrs. Russell serves as an Upper School History Teacher at SCS, where she incorporates a biblical worldview into all that she does—from the way she teaches to the way that she interacts with her students and colleagues. She has a deep love for Christ and his Word, is a gifted writer and communicator, and she cares deeply for our students and seeks to positively influence them both inside and outside the classroom. Mrs. Russell is an encourager and is someone who brings joy to our campus every day. Congratulations, Mrs. Russell, on being named the SCS Standout of the Month for August! We are proud of you, and we are thankful for you!
