⛳ More than $47,000 was raised through the annual Southern States Machinery, Inc. Golf Tournament to support Mitchell’s Machining and Welding students. The total includes over $45,000 in donations from tournament participants and sponsors, as well as $2,000 raised on-site through the auction of a firepit handcrafted by Mitchell Welding students.

The funds will help students gain hands-on training, develop advanced technical skills, and prepare for high-demand careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades.

Mitchell Community College extends its appreciation to Southern States Machinery, sponsors, participants, donors, and community partners for their continued investment in student success and workforce development.

🎓 Students explored their next steps at Mitchell's College Transfer Fair, connecting with representatives from colleges and universities to learn about transfer pathways, admissions, academic programs, and opportunities beyond Mitchell.

Interested in transferring after Mitchell? Our Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Fine Arts degree programs are part of a statewide transfer agreement between the North Carolina Community College System and the UNC System, allowing students to complete their first two years at Mitchell before transferring to one of North Carolina's public universities.

🦷✂️ Mitchell Community College recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new Dental Assisting facility, marking an exciting investment in healthcare education and workforce development.

The new space provides students with enhanced opportunities for hands-on learning and clinical skill development as they prepare for careers in the dental field. With access to advanced training equipment, service-learning opportunities, and a program that can be completed in approximately one year, students are well positioned to enter an in-demand healthcare profession.
