Center for Art & Theatre The Center for Art & Theatre offers public performances, art exhibitions, and events throughout the year.

In addition to one act plays and student performances, the Black Box Theatre presents four major productions in its state-of-the-art facilities. The Center for Art & Theatre contains four galleries and house two diverse permanent collections. The Betty Foy Sanders Georgia Artists Collection, a continuously expanding gift established and curated by Betty Foy Sanders, Bulloch County native and wife of former Georgia Governor Carl Sanders and the Smith Callaway Banks Southern Folk Art Collection, a collection donated by the late Statesboro historian Smith Callaway Banks. The collection is made up of over one thousand folk art pieces representing Southern traditions. Additionally, the Contemporary and University galleries feature revolving visual art exhibitions by both internationally renowned and emerging artists.

We are now approaching the last production of the season: The Country Wife! 🍾🕯️🪭

This adaptation written by Rachel Atkins is an updated version of the William Wycherley classic that follows Harry Horner, a notorious womanizer, and the wild rumors and shenanigans that he, his Friends, and his rendezvous all find themselves in.

This will run in the Georgia Southern Performing Arts Center April 10-12th all at 7:30pm.

With only a trunk and a handful of props, Vickers brings every character, scene, and emotion of this beloved classic to life in a tour-de-force theatrical experience.
