Great communities are built by great educators! 🍎 Our Teaching as a Profession CTAE pathway is preparing Bulloch County students to become the educational leaders of tomorrow. They learn to design age-appropriate instructional plans, build a professional portfolio, study the historical trends shaping our schools, and gain real-world experience facilitating small-group instruction under the guidance of local mentors. We are proud to invest in our future workforce by growing our own educators right here at home!

Schools may be on summer break, but our district administrators are still leading by example to prepare our students for successful futures! Today, Bulloch County Schools district leadership stepped away from their desks and went behind the scenes for our 1st Annual Administrator Industry Bus Tour. A huge thank you to Marchelle Russell (BES), Krista Branch (BES), Al Dekle (LCES), and Dr. John McAfee (WJMS) for taking part in this immersive look at our local economy. Our leaders toured two local facilities—Briggs & Stratton and SECO Ecoplastic—connecting directly with industry leaders who employ our graduates. We concluded with an excellent lunch and keynote presentation from the Development Authority of Bulloch County (DABC), highlighting our strong partnership and the exciting workforce growth occurring in our community. Strong workforce development can't happen in isolation, and collaborating with local employers helps us build a highly educated, skilled, and efficient workforce.

They say "better late than never," but in the professional world, "on time is late and early is on time!" This month, we're helping our students master the art of punctuality. It’s a small habit that makes a massive impression on future employers.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their legacy of service helps pave the way for the future of our students and our community.❤️
