🎉 Happy First Week of Pre-K! 🎉

What an amazing first week we've had! Our Pre-K friends have already learned so much and are settling into their new classroom routine. This week, the children practiced our classroom rules, learned the importance of proper handwashing, explored classroom expectations, made new friends, and began building independence and confidence. They also enjoyed participating in fun learning activities that encouraged listening, sharing, and working together.

First Day Jitters? We've Got the Juice for That! 💙✨

Today we read First Day Jitters, a fun and heartwarming story that reminds us it's okay to feel a little nervous about new beginnings—even teachers get the jitters sometimes! To help chase those butterflies away, the children made a special Jitter Juice by mixing blue juice and Sprite in a pitcher and adding colorful sprinkles on top. Activities like this encourage curiosity, confidence, and teamwork while making learning fun!

💙 We had a wonderful first week in Pre-K B!

On our first day, we read First Day Jitters, talked about our feelings, ripped our "jitters" away, and glued them down. Then we made Jitter Juice to help wash all of our first-day worries away.

We are so proud of our little learners and can't wait for a fun year of learning and growing together! 🍎✨

First-day jitters are to be expected, and this week we learned it is ok to be nervous or scared, especially when things change, or you move to a new experience.

Our class read the story “First Day Jitters” to learn about these feelings. After reading, the children followed a recipe to make their own Jitter Juice, and we read a poem about the Jitter Juice.

After enjoying our magical treat, we took a poll and made a chart to show who did or did not like the jitter juice. Hands down, this activity was a hit, and even those who didn’t like the taste of the jitter juice enjoyed the experience of making their own magical drink!

Our PreK B students are jumping right in with our fun and learning! The students have been exploring several of our centers- Math, Blocks, Science, Fine Motor, and Dramatic Play. We learned how to use all of our items, our clean up routine, and practiced sharing and working together. We will continue to explore the remainder of our centers to help the children be able to move about and explore all the areas during center time.
