We are proud of the growth and great things happening at LCES, and we welcome every opportunity to share our story.
Recently, Mr. Jacobs, one of our administrators, had the opportunity to speak with a community group about ways to support students and help children succeed. We are grateful for the many community partners who invest in our students and support our school.

It’s always great to see our Langston Lions continuing to learn and grow during the summer. Mrs. White and several of our students are spending the week at 4-H Camp Rock Eagle, making memories and representing LCES well.

We approve this message! It’s great to see our amazing Administrative Assistant, Ms. Cassie, featured in Bulloch County Schools’ recruiting campaign. Her dedication, positivity, and commitment to serving our students, staff, and families help make LCES a special place. We are grateful to have her as part of our Lion family!

What may seem like a small gesture is actually one of the many things that makes LCES special. Today, a few staff members found a simple way to say thank you to our custodial team as they work hard preparing our building for the return of staff and students.
While much of their work happens behind the scenes, their impact is seen throughout our school every day. We are grateful for all they do to keep LCES clean, safe, and ready for learning.

This morning, we had the opportunity to catch up with Mr. Paul and Mr. Bobby, both of whom will be retiring from Bulloch County Schools this month after years of dedicated service.
At LCES, we are grateful for all they have done to support our school. Their hard work, dependability, and commitment have helped make LCES a place our students and staff are proud to call home.
We wish Mr. Paul and Mr. Bobby all the best in retirement and thank them for the lasting impact they have made along the way.

We are excited to continue our partnership with First Baptist Church Statesboro as we challenge our Langston Lions to keep reading all summer long! Through the Read Georgia Summer Reading Program, students can turn their summer reading into rewards while building the skills that lead to success in school and beyond. We are grateful to First Baptist Church Statesboro for helping us inspire a love of reading and support literacy in our community.

Our hearts are always overjoyed when a former Lion makes us proud! Congratulations to Jason Powell Jr. and his family. Jason, a former LCES student and recent Statesboro High School graduate, has signed to attend Bryan College to continue his academic and baseball career. We are proud of all he has accomplished and wish him the very best in this next chapter.

If you have a student who will be new to LCES this year, now is the perfect time to complete online registration. Returning families should also take a moment to update their information. Registration information can be found here:

RJ’s Summer Adventures: Summer may be here, but RJ isn’t slowing down! While visiting LCES, RJ peeked through the windows and discovered our custodial team hard at work getting the school ready for another amazing year. Not one to stand around, RJ jumped right in to help!
From cleaning and organizing to making sure everything is ready for students and staff, RJ learned just how much work goes on behind the scenes during the summer.
A huge thank you to our custodial team for helping our school shine! Be sure to follow along all summer as RJ explores our city and beyond. It's exciting to see what he discovers while school is out!

We love seeing our young people take advantage of opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for their futures! Trinity Hughes, an upcoming senior at SHS and Gabriella Kitchens, an upcoming sophomore at SEB, are spending part of their summer at LCES through the City of Statesboro Government Youth Connect Program.
Both young ladies aspire to become educators and are gaining valuable hands-on experience while working alongside our 5th Grade ELA Teacher, India James. We are proud of Trinity and Gabriella for investing in their future and grateful for programs that help connect students with meaningful career experiences.
