“KD made me feel safe to be fully myself. When I walked into KD during rush I never felt like I had to water myself down, act differently, talk differently, or fit some picture of who I thought everyone wanted me to be. They loved me for who I was!! The Lord knew exactly what He was doing when He led me here. Looking back at younger me, I never would’ve believed I’d one day be serving as chaplain and getting the opportunity to encourage girls in their walk with Christ. KD has softened me, challenged me, and loved me into a version of myself that I’m so thankful for. One of my favorite things about this chapter is that we are all SO different, with different personalities, gifts, and stories, but what we all have in common is our incredible love for each other. These girls will show up for you in EVERY season of life There is SO much joy in this house!! They say to surround yourself with ppl who feel like SUNSHINE, and boy did I lucky!!! If I could do it again I would choose KD every single time!!!

“I would choose KD over and over again! Both of my older sisters were both KD’s here at Georgia Southern and it has been such a joy to be able to share that with them. I knew when I walked into KD for the first time during recruitment I was right at home. Each conversation was genuine and made all of my nerves go away. I know I have so many new sisters in KD who will always be one call away. Getting to go through preference round with Rachel Threlkeld by my side who is now my big and best friend was a day I will never forget! KD is truly where my heart belongs and I will always be in debt to all it has given me.”

“Kappa Delta has honestly been such an eye-opener for me in life. It’s helped me grow to have a more optimist outlook, build real and meaningful relationships, and just feel happier in ways I didn’t expect. I’ve met so many amazing girls, each with their own personalities, and I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people who inspire me every single day. Everyone’s confidence has pushed me to be more confident and motivated in myself and in others too, they’re all such bright lights and it’s impossible not to feel that energy. 💚

I’ve made so many new connections already, and I’m so excited for all the memories and friendships still ahead. Also, a huge shoutout to my cousin Abbie Doerter for making this whole process such a breeze, I seriously couldn’t be more grateful for her (and for dealing with me bombarding her seven days a week :). Also to my amazing big- Allyn Beavers, I don’t think I could’ve had a better matchup and special role model/idol to look up to. She will forever be my comfort, steady light, and greatest blessing KD has given me. Overall I’m so blessed and appreciative for all these girls’ openness and care for everyone! KD already means so much to me, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!”

Spring semester has officially come to an end!!! Time really does fly when you’re having fun!!!

As graduation week comes to an end, we are soaking in every moment celebrating our seniors! 🎓🥹

Delta Lambda is beyond proud of all you have accomplished during your time at Georgia Southern! Thank you for the love, leadership, and memories you have given our sisterhood over the years.
