What a beautiful breakfast celebrating an incredible woman who has dedicated 35 years of service to education. From teaching to administration, Valerie has left a lasting impact through her kindness, leadership, and love for students and staff.

As the day came to an end, we reflected on what an incredible year it has been at Mattie. From laughter in the hallways to lessons learned, friendships made, and milestones reached, this year was filled with memories we will cherish forever.

To our students, staff, and families—thank you for making this year so special. We laughed, we learned, we SOARed together, and now it’s time for a well-deserved summer break!

This morning, our 5th graders lined the halls for an unforgettable ceremony celebrating all of their hard work, achievements, and memories made at Mattie. From classroom accomplishments to lasting friendships, these students have truly SOARed through elementary school.

A huge shoutout to Connor Normil for earning the Coca-Cola Award for the highest GPA — what an incredible accomplishment! We are so proud of you!

As our Eagles spread their wings and head off to middle school, know that Mattie will always be cheering you on. Good luck, 5th grade! Mattie will miss you dearly!

Can you say SOARing students? 🦅✨ Our 3rd and 4th Grade Honors Program was held this morning, and we are so proud of our Eagles! Students were recognized for Young Georgia Author awards, SOARing Behavior, Honor Roll, Principal’s Honor Roll, Top Reader awards, and many others.

Today was all about celebrating hard work, leadership, creativity, and academic success.🏆

Testing is OVER… Sweet Tea Please! 🧋

Today, our 3rd-5th grade Eagles who worked hard on the GMAS and showed dedication by being present and on time each day for testing were rewarded with sweet tea during lunch!

Congratulations to our GMAS winners and to all of the students who gave their best effort throughout testing season. Your hard work, commitment, and determination helped you SOAR!

What a wonderful turnout for our Pre-Kindergarten program this morning! Seeing our future Eagles smiling, learning, and growing together was so special. These little learners are spreading their wings and getting ready for an exciting journey ahead.
