🎣 Hook, line, and sinker! What an incredible day our Mustangs had this past Thursday at the Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Fishing Rodeo at Mill Creek Park 🐟 ✨

Our classes had a blast reeling in some serious fun. From Brave hands handling worms and touching their first fish to landing some massive catches, which included Catfish 15-22 inches long!

Every participant went home with a ribbon, special trophies were awarded for the biggest catches, and everyone left with wonderful memories 🏆.

We are so proud of our adventurous Mustangs for showing great spirit and giving it their all out on the water! 💙🐴

We are thrilled to welcome our Read GA tutors to our school community this academic year! These dedicated individuals will be working directly with our second-grade students to build strong foundational reading skills, boost confidence, and foster a lifelong love for books.

Having extra support in the classroom makes a huge difference in our students' literacy journeys, and we are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and enthusiasm our tutors bring every day. If you see our Read GA team around campus, please join us in giving them a warm welcome!

Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students had an incredible morning at Mill Creek Park for Community Helpers Day! The children explored real working vehicles and learned firsthand about the important jobs that keep our area safe, connected, and powered up.

Our Pre-K learners started Community Helper Week with a special visit from our very own Nurse Hannah! She gave our little ones a fun, hands-on look at how nurses care for us, check heartbeats, and keep our school healthy.

The kids loved listening to their own hearts through the stethoscope and learning how to stay big and strong. A huge thank you to Nurse Hannah for inspiring our future doctors, nurses, and helpers!

A huge congratulations Ms. Canty-White, our amazing music teacher, who was recently awarded a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro!
Here is what she shared about this wonderful gift:

"I would like to thank Kiwanis of Statesboro for their generous gift to the music program at MCES. This allows us to purchase more instruments, classroom resources, and support our chorus program."

A big thank you to all the wonderful grandparents who joined us for our Pre-K and Kindergarten Grandparents' Breakfast this morning!

Our school cafeteria was filled with so many bright smiles, warm hugs, and special memories. Watching our youngest learners share their morning with you was the absolute highlight of our week. Thank you for making today so memorable and for being such an important part of our school community!
