Girls Who Code has launched a FREE Technical Interview Prep program on Forage in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Technical Interview Prep (TIP) is a FREE program that gives participants an inside peek into the technical interview process, including different types of technical interviews and strategies to address each. TIP includes an asynchronous, free course and an optional (but highly encouraged) two-day Bootcamp with a partner company.

Summer 2022 EverUp Micro-Credentials Application

CUNY and the NY Jobs CEO Council are once again partnering to offer Summer 2022 EverUp Micro-Credentials in Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Finance, Marketing, Systems Administration, UX Design, and Project Management.

EverUp Micro-Credentials are FREE, 100-hour online intensives that equip CUNY students with in-demand skills and provide a competitive boost at landing internships and entry-level roles at NY Jobs CEO Council companies. Micro-credentials are directly shaped by content experts from New York’s largest employers, ensuring you learn the skills to succeed in the workplace.

Upon successful completion, you will receive a suite of ongoing benefits, including:

· $300 stipend (distributed 4-6 weeks after completion)

· “Insider’s View of Getting an Internship” info sessions

· Tips for leveraging your micro-credential on your resumé

· LinkedIn badge

· Professional skills events

· Professional networking opportunities

Eligibility:

· Currently enrolled in any CUNY Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program with at least 30 credits completed by the end of Spring 2022

Company Ventures manages a robust summer internship program in partnership with CUNY, matching student interns with startups for full-time, fully-paid work for two months. Students must be poised for success in a fast-paced startup, working amongst a small team where the demands can change daily. Interns are hired to work in various disciplines.

Looking for a summer internship?
If you have not had any paid computer science internships OR you have only had one (1) paid internship during your time at CUNY, consider applying to CUNY Career Launch. This program is recruiting undergrads who haven’t had substantial paid internship experience but who are ambitious, bright, and ready to apply the skills they’ve learned in the classroom to work.
You will work for 7 weeks between early July until mid-August for 19 hours/week.

What is the Break Through Tech AI Program?
The Break Through Tech AI Program is a year-long program developed by industry and academic leaders, beginning with a summer ML Engineering curriculum that teaches the critical, practical skills that help qualify candidates for entry-level jobs in the field - including skills in building data analysis pipelines, training and validating ML models - while gaining experience with common ML/AI libraries. Next, students join the AI Studio where they work in teams to solve industry challenges and develop a portfolio of AI projects that demonstrate their capabilities. Throughout the program, students receive career coaching, mentorship, and summer internship placement support, all aimed at helping participants successfully launch their AI tech career. A stipend is provided as well.

Who should apply?
Undergraduate female-identifying and non-binary students, and students in other underrepresented groups (Black, African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous, low-income, non-traditional, and first-generation college students) are welcome to apply.

The EverUp Micro-Credential Program helps CUNY undergraduate students build the skills and networks needed to land in-demand jobs and internships at some of the world’s leading companies. Credentialing is available in Software Engineering, Project Management, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Systems Administration and User Experience Design.
