This morning, students in Dr. Veronika Scudamore’s Anatomic Fundamentals of Motion class completed a Shoulder Joint & Shoulder Girdle Lab activity.

💀 This lab gave students a hands-on learning experience where they identified the bones, bony landmarks, muscles, and muscle actions of the shoulder joint and shoulder girdle using skeletal models, the Anatomage Table (a 3D anatomy table featuring real cadavers), and their own bodies.

Last week, Exercise Science students in the Exercise Prescription and Fitness Programming class went down to our Human Performance Lab to develop their skills in measuring heart rate and blood pressure during exercise.

Students used this lab to identify potential sources of error while measuring heart rate and blood pressure, both at rest and during exercise, and how to minimize them. They were also able to compare different methods of measuring heart rate and determine which methods were most accurate.
