We are so proud of our 8 Aoii x Phi Psi dancers for taking a 46-hour physical stand against childhood cancer. This year we were able to spend THON weekend with two of our families, the Van Aulens and the Hochbergers. It was the best weekend with them!
THON raised a record-breaking total of $18,841,726.53 all For The Kids!!! We are in awe of everything that THON accomplished this year and are so thankful for all of our generous donors. We absolutely could not have done it without you! We are proud to announce that this year we raised $335,581.10 as a pair!
For the Butlers, the Bushmans, the Karolys, the Kerns, the Van Aulens, and the Hochbergers, and every family like them that has faced the unimaginableπ

THON is tomorrow! For our last family highlight of our 60k in 6 campaign we will be highlighting the Van Aulen family. Our THON child, Ethan Van Aulen, battled a brain tumor at a very young age. Although Ethan is no longer with us, he is always in our hearts, and we continue to honor him every year at THON.β€οΈ Ethan looked forward to the magic of THON every year, he was a fun-loving young man, and his favorite part of THON was getting to play with the water guns, so we love to play with water guns every year in his memory. Ethan also loved animals, especially his cat Milo.π±π§‘
We are so thankful to Barbara for being so involved in our organization and for continuing to share her stories of Ethan with us. We absolutely love getting to hangout with Barbara at our annual family BBQ and banquet! We hold the Van Aulens close to our hearts not only this weekend, but everyday.ππ

There are only 2 days left until THON 2026 and today we will be highlighting another one of our 6 amazing families, the Hochbergers! When Ian Hochberger was only 22 months old, he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and given a 3 in 20 chance of survival. After two surgeries, a year of chemotherapy, and ten radiation treatments Ian has been cancer free for 30 years!ππ
Ian and his wife Christina are both Penn State alumni! The Hochbergers have attended THON for the past 20+ years and Ian even danced in THON when he was a student here! We are so excited to see the Hochbergers in just 2 days!ππΊπΌ

THON 2026 is just 3 days away, and our next family highlight is the Kern family! Jennifer Kern battled bone cancer as a child, and Jen and her family are forever grateful for the help they received from the Four Diamond Fund during that time. We are proud to say that Jen is now 35 years cancer free!π
Jen and her husband Micheal now have two kids. Their daughter Lexi attends and plays field hockey at Millersville University, and their son Jarrett recently committed to Shippensburg for football! ππ
Jen is also a PSU alumni and we love to spend time with them at THON and sporting events!π

We THON in 4! Today we honor our 3rd family of our 60k in 6 campaign, where we aim to raise 60k in the six days leading to THON weekend. For our third family highlight we will be highlighting the Karoly family! In 2005, when Jackie was two years old, she was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, a cancer of the kidney. Jackie went through chemotherapy and eventually had surgery to remove the tumor and her right kidney. Jackie has now been cancer free for 19 years!ππ
Jackie is now a graduate of Bloomsburg University where she was a sister of the sorority Chi Theta Pi. Jackie also has a brother, Nick, and her parents are Mary and Jeff Karoly. We loved getting to see Jackie at the THON 5k this year!π
Please donate at the link in our bio to make a difference in the life of a family like the Karolys!ππ

Six months later Emily finished treatment on December 10th 2019, and she has been in remission for over 7 years now!ππ
