🏡✨ OCC Family Orientation Night ✨🏡

Last week we hosted our family orientation night and open house.
It was a great opportunity for families to step into the classrooms, explore the Montessori environment, meet our teachers, and learn more about the works and materials their child will experience each day.
We are excited to welcome our new and returning families for the 2026-2027 school year!

Little hands love digging in the soil, watering plants, and watching something they planted grow 🪴💚

Maria Montessori believed that the outdoor environment is an extension of the indoor classroom. She recognized that children’s interactions with nature were integral to their physical, cognitive, and mental development. Gardening is a core Practical Life and Science activity. It offers preschoolers a unique opportunity to connect with the environment, nature, and other living organisms. Gardening is more than just nurturing plants; it cultivates essential values and skills in children.

The children at OCC worked with Ms. Lynn during the Spring to plant and grow our Tasting Garden. Now they are enjoying the harvest! Tomatoes are the favorite around here 🍅

Our school orders many of our classroom materials from Montessori Services. This company also offers access to the public via For Small Hands - an excellent place for purchasing educational toys, child-appropriate tools and household items, and many more wonderful gifts to use in your home.

Many winter holidays, birthdays, and other gift opportunities are coming for your children, nieces and nephews, friends, etc. Please consider making a purchase with OCC's customer number listed, and we will receive 10% to 15% credit. This is a simple fundraiser that really benefits our school as we purchase the bulk of supplies for our classrooms from this specialized Montessori company.
