Hormones absolutely have their a role, and probably deserve a big share of the blame, AND... lifestyle still matters.
- consistent bedtime > doom scrolling
- balanced meals > skipping meals
- after dinner walks > netfilx & chill
- lifting heavy > endless cardio
- spending time with family & friends > online time
- taking time to rest > doing it all
Listen, both can be true: your hormones can be out of whack and your lifestyle less than supportive. The thing is, we often have more control over our day to day activities than of our hormones. Creating a lifestyle that supports our hormones in something we can do. Every effort counts!

On vacation this week, I’ve seen many older adults needing assistance to enter and exit the surf at the beach. Including one person needing assistance from a lifeguard. As a lover of the beach/ocean, it’s important to ME to be able to enjoy it for as long as possible.
Maybe you love being able to riding horses.
Maybe you love being able to hike the mountains.
Maybe you love being able to golf.
Maybe you love chasing your kids/grandkids.
The point is: being active, maintaining balance/stability, and having strong muscles are all supportive, and necessary to maintain these things for the long haul.
Please hear what I am not saying: what motivates a person is different. The ocean is unpredictable and needs to be approached with caution. This is not me judging these folks, especially in a moment of vulnerability.

I am super excited to be bringing this workshop to Wellness in Motion next week. The importance of strength training for women off all ages is often overlooked. You will never regret being strong.
In this workshop, we will discuss the basics of resistance training, the importance of strong muscles and bones as we age, and ways to support our strength through the menopause transition. Together will we go through a strength session in studio, so come prepared to workout, and you will have a workout you can take home to continue your progress.
Pre-registraion is required. Space is limited.
