SCASD Community Education

The Community Education Extended Learning (CEEL, pronounced seal) Program offered by the State College Area School District is an afterschool program for elementary students. Offering a mix of enrichment classes, physical activity, community service projects, and academic enrichment, CEEL offers extra learning opportunities in a fun, relaxed environment.

We are looking for energetic, dedicated individuals to work from 2:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., each school day for the 2022-23 school year. Flexible schedules are available. Rate of pay is $13.49 per hour; expected start date is August 23, 2022. A background in early or elementary education or a human development and family services field, as well as experience working with elementary-age students, is preferred.

A message to our in-car driver education students and families from instructor Dagmar Wilson:
Driving is a productive activity to help pass the time while maintaining social distancing. The local streets and parking lots currently offer ideal conditions to improve skills and gain valuable experience. My advice is basic and fundamental – Drive! The more, the better.
