What is the Bellefonte Touchdown Club?

The Bellefonte Touchdown Club is the parent led booster organization that supports the Bellefonte Junior High, Junior Varsity and Varsity football program beyond what the school's athletic budget can provide them.
Our goal is to enhance the experience of every one of the football athletes and to help create a safe, successful, positive, and memorable program!

What Do We Do?

The Touchdown Club works throughout the year to support the football program by:
-Organizing and providing game day meals.
-Providing team building events and fun activities.
-Assisting with transportation needs
-Purchasing equipment and supplies not covered by the school budget.
-Providing game day apparel and other necessary clothing for the athletes throughout the season.
-Coordinating special experiences and recognition events for players.
-Coordinating fundraising events or seeking sponsorships from our community businesses and members to help ensure our athletes have the resources they need to succeed!

There are coordinating positions and exec board positions that create the Bellefonte Touchdown Club.
Each role has their own assignments.
If you want to support one of the coordinator’s with tackling their responsibilities, please see that coordinator or ask any of us Touchdown Club members to help you get in touch with that coordinator.

How does your child, your football player benefit form the Touchdown Club?

- Every football player benefits directly from the Touchdown Club's efforts.
- Our support helps provide team meals and good nutrition on game days.
- Additional equipment and program enhancements.
- We make sure your child is registered for participation opportunities in offseason activities.
-Team building experiences that strengthen relationships and culture
-Recognition events and celebrations
- We make sure all of the athletes have a more enjoyable and memorable football experience.

Simply put, many of the extras that make our football program special are made possible through the Bellefonte Touchdown Club.

How Do Parents Benefit?

Parents benefit by:
-Becoming part of a supportive football community.
-Building relationships with other families.
-Having a voice in supporting and improving the program.
-Sharing in the pride of helping create great opportunities for all of the athletes.
-Contributing to experiences that positively impact their child and their teammates.

What Should Parent Volunteering Look Like?

Volunteering does not mean one person does everything!
It means every family of each athlete contributes in some way shape or form.

Examples of volunteering duties include:

-Helping serve game day meals.
- Helping serve after game meals.
- Helping coordinate the pick up of meals, and deliver them to the games. - Return the coolers or meal bags to their designated locations.
- Help transport coolers of food and waters to and from 7on7’s throughout the summer.
- Help set up two canopy’s at the fields for the athletes during 7on7’s.
- Assisting with fundraising events.
- Working concessions
- Helping with the planning and preparation of our team special events that begin in a few weeks and run until fall.
-Volunteering at ALL of our home games.
JH needs slots filled for field duties, concessions, and someone to sell 50/50.
JV and Varsity needs slots filled for the operations of concessions, selling game programs and someone to sell 50/50.

There’s so many more opportunities I didn’t mention.

Why Your Involvement Matters?

The reality of all this is that a small group of 8 moms (as of today, we have three positions vacant) that have been carrying the majority of the work that’s required to keep the Touchdown Club operating.
While we are proud to support our athletes, this is no longer sustainable!

We are at a critical point!

The future success of the Touchdown Club depends on greater participation from ALL of the football families.
When every family contributes, even in a small way, the workload becomes manageable and the program can continue to provide the meals, equipment, events, and opportunities our athletes and for our coaches to enjoy.

Every family benefits from the Touchdown Club!!
We are asking each family to do their part to help ensure these opportunities remain available for all players and for the coaches too.

TOGETHER, we can keep the Touchdown Club strong for our athletes both now and in the future!!

As a parent myself and as the Bellefonte Touchdown Club President,
I am personally asking for you to step up and do YOUR part for the Bellefonte Junior High, Junior Varsity and the Varsity football teams.

Please come join us Tuesday, June 9 at 6:30 for our monthly Touchdown Club meeting.

Sincerely,

Brandi Bowman
President,
Bellefonte Touchdown Club

🚨ALERT 🚨

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, the Touchdown Club is looking for a $Treasurer$. If you would be interested, please reach out to [email protected] or any member of the board or attend our next booster club meeting, this coming Tuesday, June 9.

Without this position filled, we could risk not being school board approved in July/August as a booster club, and we cannot let that happen!! This role is vital to the operations of the club.
