Introducing this month’s Bellefonte Art Museum activity: LAYERS OF THE LAND 🌿🎨

What do you notice when you really look at the world around you? Inspired by the This Land Is Your Land exhibit, this month’s activity invites young artists to explore the colors, shapes, and textures found in the landscapes around them. Using paint swatches, children can tear, cut, and layer colors to create a place that feels familiar — or imagine a landscape entirely their own.

A field, a forest, a backyard, a favorite view… what will you discover? 🌳✨

✨️ COOKIE CLASSES ARE BACK IN SESSION! ✨️

🏈 We kicked off a new season with the Tailgate Cookie Class on Thursday, where we decorated a blue and white themed football set, and snacked on some tailgate treats!

👻 If you missed it, join us again in October! There are TWO Spooky Sweets Classes on the calendar and will be fun for all ages!

Learn hand lettering this fall at Shannon's Hand Lettering Bootcamp. At this three-session course, you'll learn the basics of modern calligraphy with a brush pen. Each session dives into different aspects of lettering through personalized workbooks, practice prompts, and easy to understand tips and tricks from a seasoned letterer.

Interested in learning hand lettering, modern calligraphy, faux calligraphy…whatever you want to call it, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Starting September 17, join Shannon with Wright Lettering for Hand Lettering Bootcamp to take your lettering skills from newbie to expert in just 3 sessions. She will walk you step by step through the basics of hand lettering with a brush pen starting with the basic strokes and covering everything from upper and lower case script letters, numbers & characters, and print alphabet. The time will culminate with flourishing words and stylizing designs so that you can *literally* letter anything. There will be lots of practice prompts, a new workbook for each session, and your very own lettering kit.
