As the school year comes to a close, our amazing Social Committee made sure our staff felt appreciated and celebrated! π¦π
Today, staff enjoyed a visit from an ice cream truck along with thoughtful last-day goodies to mark the end of another incredible year. While our teachers still have one more day tomorrow to complete report cards during Records Day, today was a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate all they have accomplished.
A huge thank you to our Social Committee for bringing smiles, treats, and a little extra joy to the end of the school year. We are grateful for everything they do to support and recognize our incredible team! β€οΈπ¦

π What a surprise!
Yesterday morning, a hot air balloon landed right on the Young Scholars campus, turning an ordinary school day into an unforgettable one.
Our students and staff were amazed to watch the landing up close and learn a little about these incredible aircraft. Sometimes the best learning experiences are the ones you never see coming!
Check out the photos and videos below! πβ¨

ππ¦ Today we celebrate an incredible milestone as we congratulate the Young Scholars Class of 2026! π¦π
This year's graduating class is one of the largest in our school's history, making this moment even more special. With this year's graduates we celebrated over 300 graduates!!
What makes this class so unique is the wide variety of journeys that brought them here. Some students, including Ali, Zoey, Clayton, Maddox, Jordyn, Blaine, Chris, Jack, Dylan, Keiron, and Declan, first walked through our doors as Kindergarteners in 2017 and have spent nearly a decade growing, learning, and making memories at YSCP. Others joined us more recently, including some who became Young Scholars just this school year. No matter when their journey began, each student has left their mark on our school community.
This class also represents the closing of several remarkable family chapters at YSCP. Among our graduates are the final Young Scholars from families whose children have been part of our school for many years:
β€οΈ Ali (following Selim and Yunus)
β€οΈ Zoey (following Sam and Dominic)
β€οΈ Clayton (following Christiana and Alessandra)
β€οΈ Chris and Jack
β€οΈ Nastusha (following Alex)
β€οΈ Rain (following Bon)
To these families, thank you. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, your support, and for allowing us to be part of your children's lives. Your YSCP legacy will always be woven into the story of our school.
As bittersweet as today is, we could not be more proud of this extraordinary group of graduates. We have watched you grow from curious children into confident young adults ready to take on high school and whatever comes next.
Once a Young Scholar, always a Young Scholar. We cannot wait to see where your journeys lead.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! πππ

Mrs. E-H submitted the last for Weaver. She wrote: "Weaver is always the one in his friend group in math class to help the others out. Since he focuses well and understands what we're doing, he will work with his friends to make sure they also know what to do. He is responsible and polite, and has grown so much in his math confidence in the last two years!"
