Spring Creek Elementary School

The students, staff and parents gave a wonderful send off to our exiting 5th graders as they fly the Hawk’s nest onto Middle School!

Our end of year awards assembly recognized some of our many amazing students. Teachers and students said farewell to another stellar year! Have a great summer SCE!

Congratulations to our former Houserville and Lemont students! You learned how to “do school” in the halls of Lemont and Houserville schools, figured out the scary, yet exciting halls of Mt. Nittany Middle School, and conquered the halls of State College Area High School. You did it! Tomorrow you become graduates of this great district. We couldn’t be prouder of all you have accomplished and wish you all the best as you spread your wings and fly!

Spring Creek students earned an amazing end of year event from the Skidmark Skateparks pros. They were in awe and beyond thrilled to see all the technical and mind-blowing tricks the team performed!

This last Wednesday our students were able to participate in our annual end-of-year field day. Perfect weather, great planning by Mrs. Constable and time donated by parent volunteers made the event a huge success! The students had an amazing time having fun with their classmates at each of the stations.

Our SCE fifth graders hosted their annual Caring Fair on Friday, May 22nd. The fifth graders donate canned goods for the State College Food Bank to participate and then pledge part of the profits they make by selling their homemade crafts to a charity of their choosing. This year the fifth graders donated $39.50 to the State College Food Bank, $106.29 to the Centre County Wildlife Fund, and a whopping $636.55 to Pets Come First! Amazing job fifth grade!

Our choir, band, and orchestra students put on a superb concert for the students during the school day and for their families that evening. Thanks to our amazing musical teachers, Mrs. Komlenic, Ms. Strayer, and Ms. Steinbacher!
