Montessori School of the Nittany Valley Montessori School of the Nittany Valley is a preschool/kindergarten that bases its teachings on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.

The school's main objective is:

*To take an individualized approach to learning with emphasis on self-development rather than competition.

*To strengthen emotional and social development by fostering in the child a sense of membership in a classroom community and providing the social skills to function within the community.

*To provide an environment in which the child is free to choose the "work" that satisfies his/her needs during critical developmental periods.

After 25 years the Montessori School of the Nittany Valley will close its doors on June 8th 2018 for good. I am so grateful for the years I got to spend with children and will miss them very much. Thank you all for your support.
