Penn State Tiny House Project

a designated food preparation area, a storage location for camping supplies and food, an additional sleeping location, a reservoir of water for non-drinking purposes, and a controlled environment in the outdoors. Wooden Tiny House
The purpose of this tiny home is to be a shelter and office space for student organizations on the 9 acres of land allotted to Penn State’s Sustainability Institute. This Tiny Home design will function as a workspace for the gardening club and other organizations located near the Sustainability Institute. Its features will consist of an open floor plan, kitchen area, loft/storage space, rain catchment system, solar panels, and an HVAC system. The Tiny Home is not designed for a living space and will not have a bedroom or running water. As the Tiny Home is completely off grid, it is considered a Net Zero structure and will incorporate multiple sustainable aspects into the design such as reclaimed materials.
