50 State College Area High School art students created portraits with a variety of mediums as special gifts to refugee children in Malaysia. In March, the portraits that they created were delivered to the children in Malaysia, and they absolutely loved them! As you will see in the following video, the children were so excited to receive the artwork. Each portrait included a picture of the artist, a hand print and a kind message. Creating these portraits was a way for SCASD students to show the children from Malaysia how much they care about their well-being and their future....creating friendships across the globe!

Join us this evening from 5:00-7:00 for our First Friday February SCAHS National Art Honor Society’s ‘Create For A Cause Event’ proceeds will benefit the NAHS and Mother’s Mercy Children’s Centre in Arusha, Tanzania. All Ages Welcome! We will have a variety of art stations for both adults and children like Sumi painting, Marbling, Card Creations, Henna Tattoos, Face Painting, Caricature artists and more.
