We enjoyed getting to talk to Penn State Altoona students about Meat Science Club 🥩 and meat processing!🥓 Thanks to everyone who stopped by and thanks to Penn State Altoona for hosting us at Ag Awareness Day!!

Our first member spotlight is our beloved senior Leah Pellis 🎓. She is a senior majoring in Animal Science with an Agribusiness Management minor. She has served as a Meat Science president and fundraising chair 🥩. In her time here she has planned several fundraisers and attended AAMP twice and even took home fourth place for her jalapeño cheese summer sausage in South Carolina 🎖️. She has plans to get a full time job in food safety quality assurance after graduation. Good luck and thank you Leah! She has loved the meat industry family ever since she came here to Penn State and started working at the Meats Lab in 2022.
