The State College Area School District Board of Directors and administration would like to invite you to their SCASD Conversations with the Community meetings.

We have to more opportunities for anyone in the community to connect with board members and administrators on any district-related issue they choose. There will be no presentations or specific topics highlighted, this is simply an open time for the community to talk with district representatives.

One of my favorite parts of being on the school board is school visits, where I get to see the amazing student artwork. I’m so glad we celebrate artists across the grades every year!

One of the coolest things I've gotten to do as a School Director is get a CTC tour from Dr. Ben Mordan, Director of SCASD-CTC. State High was 15 programs and serves over 2,000 students!!!

Headed to the grocery store this week? Now through March 31, GIANT customers can directly support SCASD and their efforts to eliminate childhood hunger.

SCASD proves over and over again that schools are the cornerstone of the community.

At the ELD potluck last night, I had the privilege of spending time with Cindy Sergeon and Lexie Wise, learning about all the ways the SCASD Family & Community Engagement Program cares for local families. A link to details about the SCASD Helping Hands Pantry is in the comments. The pantry can be used by any student, family, or staff member in SCASD — and your donation would make a critical difference.

I got to help give out vegetables on Wednesday and was awed by the team led by Megan Schaper, SCASD director of food services. 900 children were signed up. As we hit 12:00, there was food to feed the last folks to arrive but very few items over once we started to shut down at 12:30. Miraculous planning and so much joy.

We LOVE that we can support the District's families with the Summer Food Service Program!

SCASD Job Fair today!!!

Today is the day for our SCASD Support Staff Job Fair! Our hope is to fill numerous open positions as we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year. If you're interested in working in education, we’re looking for you! The Support Staff Job Fair will be held today, June 26, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Panorama Village Administrative Center located at 240 Villa Crest Drive in State College. Please come at any time throughout the day. Departmental Needs: Special Education Paraprofessionals; Athletic Department Coaches, Support Staff, Game Managers, and Announcers; Physical Plant and Facilities Custodians; Transportation Bus Drivers; Community Education Support Staff for our Afterschool CEEL Program. Additionally, we are looking for substitutes for classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. Training is provided for all positions. At the fair, you will be introduced to administrators and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about all the available job opportunities.

All members of the community are invited to attend our open job fair on June 26. We are seeking to fill numerous full and part-time positions to support our students in various ways. At the fair, you will be introduced to administrators and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about all the available job opportunities.

Athletic Department Coaches, Support Staff, Game Managers, and Announcers
Physical Plant and Facilities Custodians
Transportation Bus Drivers
Community Education Support Staff for our Afterschool CEEL Program

Free for all kids ages 18 and under. Summer food for kids will be distributed on Wednesdays, June 18 - August 6, at Oak Hall Park from 10:30 - 12:30. Registration opens in the early afternoon of the Wednesday prior and closes once we reach our capacity of 750 children.
