Members had a great first day showing at the Iowa State fair!
Alina Goldie started us off with the poultry show her results are the following Champion overall breeding stock & champion AOCCL, Champion bantam duck and champion waterfowl, and Champion feather leg.
Landrey Peterson also showed during today’s swine showman ship and was selected as a senior showman finalist!

A successful day for our swine showman today to wrap up the fair!!
Landrey Peterson:
Champion breeding gilt and Champion purebred breeding gilt, Champion Market gilt and Champion market hog

Cole Kline:
Champion commercial gilt and reserve overall breeding gilt. Champion crossbred barrow and reserve overall market hog.

Great turn out for our Alumni ice cream social!
We want to take a minute to thank the members of our alumni for all that they do for us behind the scenes, many of the things we are able to do wouldn’t be possible without these individuals in our community!!

Today members Benton Edler and Joe Smith exhibited cattle at the beef show. Benton received reserve champion breeding heifer and Joe was reserve champion pen of 3!!

Congratulations to chapter member Hannah Frahm for being awarded Central Iowa Fair Queen!! She will represent Marshall County in the state fair queen contest in August👑

Day 2 of the fair kicked off with the sheep show. Members Hattie McCollom, Henry McCollom, Hannah Frahm, Lucas Frahm, Jackson Walker, and Lane Hauser all showed sheep this morning. Hattie was awarded overall champion market lamb and will represent Marshall County at the Heartland Throwdown!!
The goat show followed with Jackson Walker and Lane Hauser taking home 2 division winners and 2 division runner ups in the breeding goat show.
Congratulations too all members who showed today!!

If you are planning on showing at the Marshall County Fair make entries today. They are due in 7 days

FAIR ENTRY REMINDER

Fair Entry has now been open for { O N E } Week! There are 7 days left to enter projects into Fair Entry for your 4-H members.

This included:

🐑Livestock you identified in 4honline before May 15th
🖌Static Projects your youth have been or are continuing to work on

❔❓If you have questions about projects or want to make sure your projects are entered correctly you can call the office!

As we wind down the school year our horticulture class had the chance to revamp one of our greenhouse flower beds. Students pulled weeds around the garden bed and greenhouse, added in new soil, and added in some flowers from our greenhouse!!🌼🌸

Time for a sale price reduction. All plants and hanging baskets will be reduced in price to liquidate our inventory. There are still an excellent supply of plants available. Hours are 3:15 to 7pm on Monday
