We're getting derby-ready in Starkville! 🐾 To kick off the Dachshund Derby, we welcomed a special pup visitor and WDM mom, Abby Thornhill, who shared “Dozens of Dachshunds” with all of our 3- and 4-year-olds.

Hey everyone! We are so excited to announce that Crystal Avant has been hired as our new Assistant Director!

Crystal is a familiar face to many of you, as she has been a valued part of the WDM family for almost 7 years. Her dedication, experience, and love for our school make her a wonderful fit for this new role, and we are so excited for all that she brings to the table!

She is currently the lead teacher in the Bunny class and will be finishing out the school year with her class before stepping into her new position at the very end of May.

Please join us in congratulating Crystal on this exciting new chapter! 🎉💛

The Lion class has been busy with a very special science project 🐛➡️🦋

Over the past few weeks, they have carefully watched their caterpillars grow and change through every stage of the life cycle. Today, with the help of the other Pre-K classes, they had the joy of releasing their beautiful butterflies!

What a fun and memorable way to learn about transformation and God’s wonderful creation! 💛

Today we celebrated two precious babies coming soon with a fun Diapers & Donuts shower for Alyssa and Grace! 💙🍩🩷

We are so excited for them as they get ready to welcome their little bundles of joy very soon. We can’t wait to meet these sweet new little ones!

Our Pre-K friends had so much fun exploring the colorful world of Eric Carle last week! 🎨📚

Eric Carle is a beloved children’s author and illustrator, best known for his unique art style. He creates his illustrations using hand-painted paper that he cuts and layers to form bright, textured collages.

We enjoyed reading some of his most famous stories like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, and The Grouchy Ladybug. The children loved exploring his creative style and even tried making their own “Eric Carle-inspired” artwork!

It was a wonderful week full of creativity, storytelling, and hands-on fun! 🐛🦋
