Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District will return to a normal school schedule on Tuesday, January 27 and all offices and campuses will be open for normal hours. For a reminder of school start times, visit www.starkvillesd.com/parents/school-day-opening-closing-times. Campuses open for drop-off 30 minutes prior to the start of school, and all buses will run their normal routes.
The district will continue to operate two alternate drop-off opportunities that are optional for students who carpool OR for bus riders as needed:
- The HWS Shuttle from Bridgeway Church will operate from 6:50am until 7:30am and parents should enter from North Jackson Street into the Bridgeway parking lot for drop-off. This shuttle will run only to Henderson Ward Stewart.
- The Elementary Stadium Shuttle from the Starkville High School Athletic Complex will operate from 7:05am until 7:30am and parents should enter campus from the Lynn Lane entrance only for drop-off. This shuttle will run to Sudduth (kindergarten and first grade only), HWS and Overstreet.

Due to the threat of ice and hazardous winter conditions across the county, all schools and offices in the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District will be CLOSED on Monday, January 26. Staff will continue working to assess road and travel conditions, and we will communicate a decision about school operations for Tuesday by 3:00pm Monday afternoon.
We pray that our Jacket families each remain safe and watchful as we navigate the impacts of Winter Storm Fern. We will share all weather messages via ParentSquare email/text and on the district's social media channels.
“Thanksgiving is a time of quiet reflection, counting our blessings, and being grateful for all that we have.” We're thankful for each of you. Happy Thanksgiving!
