Congratulations to MSU’s EcoCAR for completing the 4-year EcoCAR Mobility Challenge!

They finished 7th overall with 593.1 total points / 1000, recording 20 finishes of 4th place or better including 11: 1st place finishes, 1: 2nd place finish, 2: 3rd place finishes and 6: 4th place finishes. MSU’s strongest results were concentrated in required submissions/status items, several dynamic-event components at the year 4 final competition and the Mobility Challenge deliverables.

They also won the team collaboration award! This is a big deal, and the other teams gave them a standing ovation for this.

They received a large, wrestling-style belt as the team that worked hardest and cleared all critical DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). They were tied with McMaster and just edged them out on this.

We love showing off our students in their co-ops and internships.

This is Jacob Sellers, a senior in computer engineering. He is spending his summer at Walt Disney World as a Global Engineering & Technology Show Controls Engineering Intern.

While he can’t reveal the magic, he was so enchanted that he extended his spell with Disney for another engineering internship through the winter taking on the role of GE&T Ride Control Engineering Intern.
