In honor of National Hazing Prevention Week, we remember Max Gruver’s life and legacy. In 2017, Alpha Delta Pi sister Rae Ann Gruver tragically lost her son, Max, to a hazing incident. Since then, Rae Ann has continued to share Max’s story and advocate for hazing prevention across the country. In 2018, Alpha Delta Pi partnered with the Max Gruver Foundation to launch the annual campaign.

Epsilon Eta is proud to continue supporting this mission and raising awareness about the dangers of hazing. Together, we can create a safer, more supportive sisterhood and community.💙

This week’s with best friends, Danica and Olivia!🫂🩵

“Coming into college, I could never have imagined the life-giving friendship ADPi would give me. My prayer going through recruitment was to find a place where I felt known, loved, and wanted; I found that in ADPi and in my best friend Olivia. She is the kind of sister that pushes me to be better, is unconditionally supportive, and always has the right words to say. What began as nightly walks to dinner during freshman year has become visiting each other at home, living together, and becoming basically attached at the hip. She has truly shaped my college life and has made Mississippi State my home away from home. This friendship is steadfast, genuine, lifelong, and joyful. ADPi truly gave me the greatest gift: the sister I never had and the best friend I have always needed.”

“Coming from out of state, knowing nothing about sororities, I didn’t know what to expect. The second I walked into ADPi, I felt truly loved and cared about by every girl in there, even if they didn’t know who I was. What I didn’t know was that I could find even more love and care in my best friend, Danica. Danica and I briefly met on Bid Day but didn’t truly get close until a month into school, and we have been inseparable ever since. If you have met me, you have met her. She has taught me true friendship by simply just existing and has shown me what it is like to live like Christ every day. She is loyal, compassionate, and genuine in everything she does. Whether it’s late-night talks in our room, eating dinner together every night, or being there for me while going through trials in life, I couldn’t imagine my life without her or my sisters. I live gratefully and thank God every day, knowing I found the people who will stick by me through anything, and the person I call my home.”
