We want to thank Community Bank for such a wonderful site visit to their headquarters in Flowood, MS!

Our students had the opportunity to learn more about the banking and finance industry from Community Bank’s President, Chief Executive Officer, and Mississippi State graduate, Justin Martin! Students also learned from Regional Chief Executive Officers, Presidents, Vice Presidents, and many more members of the Community Bank staff through panels and engaging presentations!

Our MBA students also got to hear from 2025 and 2026 Mississippi State College of Business graduates, including 5 MBAs, about their personal experiences at Community Bank and how Community Bank is developing young professionals to become the leaders of the future! We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be able to attend such an amazing visit!

We are so thankful to have Dacy Kate Marsh, Jonathan Marsh, and Laura Kerby from Modern Woodmen on campus to speak to our MBA students!

Dacy Kate Marsh is a Mississippi State University senior in Modern Woodmen’s 11 week summer internship program. The program offers an opportunity for students to gain real-life work experience related to their studies.

Jonathan M. Marsh, FIC, CFFM, CLF, is a Regional Director with Modern Woodmen of America and a results-driven leader with nearly two decades of experience in financial services, leadership development, and business operations.

Laura Kerby (MSU c/o 2021) is a Recruiting Coordinator with Modern Woodmen of America, where she plays a key role in identifying and developing talent for careers in financial services while supporting the organization’s continued growth and community impact.

The representatives of Modern Woodmen spoke about how to properly manage your financials, control your future financial health, and set yourself up for success in the long run. We want to thank them for an engaging and transformative presentation! Hail State!

We want to thank Jenn Gregory (MSU c/o 2007) for inspiring our MBA students with a wonderful presentation and very thoughtful advice! Our students had an amazing time learning about her career path that brought her to Retail Strategies.

Jenn Gregory is the President of Downtown Strategies at Retail Strategies, a community development consulting firm. Jenn specializes in rejuvenating downtowns from coast to coast in the United States!

Jenn has been recognized with the Mississippi Business Journal Top 50 Under 40 award! She also serves on the Marketing Advisory Board with Mississippi State, and we could not be more thankful for her contributions!

Jenn taught our students about the importance of relationship building and attention to detail. Jenn gave our students quality tips/advice, and we are so thankful she spoke to our program! Hail State!

07/15/2026

Today, we say a bittersweet goodbye to our very own Elissa Landers. Elissa has been in the MBA office for 5 years, serving as the Online MBA advisor and one of our fabulous MBA moms! Elissa is continuing on to make a difference in our community by transitioning to a teacher at Starkville Academy! We are so proud of her, and we can’t wait to see the amazing things she continues to do! Elissa, we will miss you dearly! 🐾🤍

We would like to thank Billy Albans (MSU c/o 2000) and Riley Reeves (MSU MBA c/o 2020) for speaking to our MBA students about their experience at Medtronic!

William (Billy) Albans is a seasoned executive leader in medical device sales and marketing, currently serving as Senior Sales Director at Medtronic, where he leads commercial strategy within the spine and orthopedic space.

Reilly Reeves is an R&D Engineer II at Medtronic, where she contributes to the design and development of innovative medical devices aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Our MBA students had a wonderful time learning about the many Supply Chain, Medical Device Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and so many more positions that the healthcare industry has to offer. Their passion and determination for improving patient outcomes by living the Medtronic mission was truly evident. Thank you so much for the wisdom and knowledge you shared today with our program!
