Our Exec Spotlight for this month is Amanda Yanvary! Amanda is serving as this year’s vice president. Her favorite part about SDA is the fellowship - she met her best friend by attending the meetings and events sponsored by the Student Dietetic Association. An interesting fact about Amanda is that lived in Okinawa, Japan for 3 years. If she were to answer honestly, her favorite food would be cookies. However, her dishonest answer would be watermelon. Amanda plans to bring guest speakers that will broaden students’ ideas of what they can do with their degree. Amanda’s plans after graduation is to become a Certified Specialist in Sports and Dietetics (CSSD) and work with Olympic Athletes. In her spare time, she can be found running through the streets of Starkville - so if you’re on the hunt for a running buddy - Amanda would be a great choice!
